Specialized training for manual therapists and medical massage practitioners, designed for safe and precise work with stress and PTSD.

  • Manual Therapists & Bodyworkers: Massage therapists, medical massage practitioners, and manual therapists with a foundation in hands-on work, seeking to develop a professional language and safe tools for treating patients in states of stress and trauma.

  • Clinical Practitioners: Professionals working in private clinics, rehabilitation settings, or community frameworks who wish to integrate Trauma-Informed principles into their daily practice.

Important Clarification Please Note: This is a training program for manual therapists. It is not a psychotherapy certification and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or mental health treatment.

  • Perform Clinical Screening: Conduct initial assessments to identify "Red Flags" and establish referral criteria when necessary.
  • Design Treatment Plans: Plan the therapeutic process including goal setting, documentation, progress analysis, and clinical termination.

Course Curriculum

Lessons 1–5: Foundations of Trauma-Informed Touch

  • Introduction to Trauma & Stress: Understanding the "Window of Tolerance," the FFF (Fight-Flight-Freeze) response, and the Polyvagal Theory (Vagus Nerve).
  • Grounding Exercises: Practical tools for stabilizing patients and maintaining presence.
  • Working Principles: Clinical intake, professional boundaries, and establishing a safe framework.
  • Mindful Touch Techniques: Integrating breathing, relaxation, and sensory-motor regulation into manual therapy.
  • Working with Arousal & "Resistance": Navigating emotional and physical responses during treatment.
  • Sexual Trauma Awareness: Consent, pacing, and boundaries (specific safety and application protocols for manual therapists).

Lessons 6–10: Advanced Clinical Integration

  • Complex Trauma (C-PTSD): Understanding long-term impacts and specialized clinical approaches.
  • Working with Children: Key characteristics of pediatric trauma and parent-therapist collaboration.
  • Secondary Trauma & Burnout: Tools for therapist self-care and maintaining professional resilience.
  • Treatment Planning: Developing personalized clinical pathways and long-term goals.
  • Ethics & Legal Protection: Navigating professional ethics and the legal aspects of trauma-informed care.
  • Course Summary: Case study presentations and Certification Ceremony.
